Our Story
Hungarian Kapisztrán Folk Ensemble of Winnipeg was founded in 1960 by a dedicated group of Hungarian immigrants and their families who were passionate about preserving their cultural identity in a new country. What began as a small gathering of friends sharing traditions has grown into a vibrant, volunteer-run community hub. For over six decades, we’ve proudly celebrated Hungarian heritage through music, dance, language, and food.
We are deeply grateful to the incredible volunteers who are the heart and soul of our organization. Your passion, time, and dedication make everything we do possible.
